First time in Venice

Orientation tour: for those who come to Venice for the first time, St. Mark’s Square is definitely a site that needs to be visited. Visiting our city means also to stroll around it, walking along the calli, fondamenta, campi and campielli of the hidden Venice.

After having admired St. Mark’s Square with the outstanding Basilica, the Bell Tower, the Clock Tower, the Procuratie, the Doges’ Palace and the Bridge of Sighs,  visitors feel that they need to be guided not only from St. Mark’s to Rialto, but also along the narrow alleys (calli), the little squares (campi and campielli), to discover architectural masterpieces (churches and palazzos, with their incredibly rich decorations) and to get in touch with everyday life of the Venetian population. And during this walk it’s amazing to figure out that getting oriented in the Venetian maze is not impossible, after all… even without Google Maps!

Time: 2 hours

Notes: The fare does not include entrance fees. When visiting religious buildings, an appropriate dress code ha to be observed (no bare shoulders, no miniskirts, no shorts). The fare for groups has to be agreed with the guide.
