FROM TITIAN TO RUBENS

From September 5th, 2019 to March 1st, 2020, Masterpieces from Antwerp and other Flemish Collections From September 5th, 2019 up to March 1st, 2020 in Venice it will be possible to visit the spectacular exhibit “FROM TITIAN TO RUBENS. Masterpieces from Antwerp and other Flemish Collections” in the rooms of the Doge’s apartment in the Doges’ Palace.

It will mostly concern the Flemish art, but among the paintings we will be able to admire some Venetian masterpieces, such as “Jacopo Pesaro Introduced to St. Peter by Pope Alexander IV” and “Portrait of a Lady and Her Daughter”, both painted by Titian.



After 200 years
a major work will come back to Italy: David Bowie’s Tintoretto, so called since it was purchased by the famous rockstar. It represents “The Announcement of the Martyrdom to St. Catherine of Alexandria”.
