From Nov 24th, 2023 up to Feb 29th, 2024
On November 24th, 2023 Venice inaugurated the
Christmas Season by lighting the Christmas Tree and all the lights in St. Mark’s Square.
This year,
for the first time,
12 Murano glass chandeliers have been installed under the arches of the Procuratie Vecchie.
These chandeliers have been created in
prestigious glass factories by artists that are famous all over the world. It will be possible to admire these exceptional works of art up to February 29th, 2024.
The title of the exhibit is “
Murano Lights up the World”: it is a way to
rediscover the ancient craftsmanship of the island. The chandeliers represent
a perfect combination of innovation, modernity, creativity, along with the mastery, the excellent skills and the incredible experience of the great glass masters.
It is
an open air exhibition: anyone can admire these masterpieces by simply walking under the Procuratie.
